Absract. Explanation, Narration and Lecture as teaching methods are criticized by many authors and students, but the teachers prefer using these methods. The requirements about the characteristics of language and style for effective use of these methods are too high in contemporary context. Comparative analysis of online survey data collected from two groups of students is presented in this article. The students are from Faculty of Education in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
It is revealed their opinion about the cogency, the easy to understand, the imagery and the emotionality when it is necessary for teachers to use Explanation, Narration and Lecture as teaching methods.
