Philosophy “Mathematics and Informatics” journal has been published since 1958. It is a continuation of Mathematics and Physics (till 1976). The Teaching of Mathematics (till 1988), The Teaching of Mathematics and Informatics (till 1994). It was awarded the national order of „Cyril and Methodius“.
The core mission of the editorial staff is to integrate harmonically knowledge, learning and technologies in the belief that education is one of the most important science applications. Together with publications reflecting good traditions in teaching mathematics and informatics the journal considers innovative educational strategies. It communicates contributions to prestigious European projects related to education, whose authors are international experts, Bulgarian researchers, teachers, and even students making their first steps in research. Ideas and good practices in integrating mathematics, informatics and ICT for promoting the inquiry-based learning are being published and discussed.
